So you ask, how does the rankings work and who are the voters? Think of the College AP Poll, the official rankings of college sports. That's exactly how The MSHPR works. The College AP Poll consist of 25 news platforms as its voting members who weekly rank teams based on their performance.
Who Are The Voters?
In similar fashion, The MHSPR Rankings rely on sports journalists from bono fide news agencies across the state who vote on the Top 50 athletes each week based on student athletes performance among other factors, making it the most accurate players rankings in high school sports.
How & When Are Athletes Ranked?
The MHSPR consist of two ranking periods, In Season and Out of Season.
During In Season Rankings, rankings are updated every week as bono fide news stations from across the week vote after they evaluate athletes performance during their local high school games, along with other factors.
During Out of Season Rankings, rankings are updated based on players performance & participation in tournaments, camps & other events, along with consideration of other factors. New stations do not vote on out of seasons rankings.
What Does Rankings Include?
The rankings include a student's GPA, NCAA Number, & most importantly, each students M-Score.
Your MARONS Score also known as a M-Score, is the most important score a student athlete can have. It tells a college or sponsor who you are, how ready, how prepared & how equipped you are, how honest and trustworthy you are, how responsible you are, what risks you may bring, and how valuable you may be for their organization.
MAP Student Members vs Non-Student Members
Student athletes that have a MAP account profile will include detailed information on their profile. Student athletes that don't have a student account will only show their name.
